A Comfortable, Thoughtfully Paced Tour
Our Loire Valley tour is designed to appeal to a variety of interests and combines magnificent château visits, cultural discoveries, culinary experiences, and leisurely exploration. All walking is at a relaxed pace, although guests should be comfortable navigating château stairs, gardens, cobblestones, and uneven surfaces.
From the personal attention of our expert guiding team to the warm welcome offered by our longtime local friends, every detail reflects our signature France with Friends philosophy.
Not Included in the Tour Price

- Round-trip train travel to and from Saint-Pierre-des-Corps TGV station
- Three lunches and one dinner

Where and When the Tour Begins
Our scheduled group transfer departs Saint-Pierre-des-Corps TGV station at 2:00 p.m. on Day 1 for the journey to our hotel in Amboise.
Where and When the Tour Ends
Our scheduled group transfer departs the hotel in Amboise at 9:30 a.m. on Day 6, arriving at Saint-Pierre-des-Corps TGV station at approximately 10:00 a.m.
Optional Hot-Air Ballooning
Hot-air ballooning is not part of the scheduled tour itinerary, but it may be arranged on one of your free evenings for an additional fee.
We work with a trusted local friend who is a professional, licensed balloon pilot and the owner of his own ballooning company. After more than 15 years of working together, we confidently consider him one of the best pilots in the Loire Valley. We’ll be happy to reserve this unforgettable experience on your behalf.
Walking & Mobility Requirements
This tour includes a considerable amount of leisurely walking each day. Guests must be comfortable:
- Walking from our vehicle drop-off points to the châteaux and other attractions
- Exploring château interiors, gardens, and historic villages on foot
- Standing for short periods during historical presentations and storytelling
- Navigating stairs, cobblestones, and occasional uneven surfaces
Elevators and escalators are not available to our groups at the châteaux. If you have mobility concerns, please contact us before booking—we are always happy to help you determine whether the tour will be a comfortable fit.
