A Recap ABOUT OUR 2018 Lavender Season Tours!! We had a busy 2018 season – lots of fun and excitement, especially with lavender and sunflower season when it was in full swing! Beginning in June, Provence began to flower with colors and aromas for which Provence is world renowned. With a blend of experiences lined up for our 2018 Provence Tour guests, we embraced the lavender flowering season with open arms. Provence is an exceptional destination any time of year; however, lavender season takes our southern France tour guests beyond the classic experience.
During our 6 day/5 night June, July, and August Provence Lavender Season Tour Dates travelers embark on a magical journey to not only discover the beauty of the region’s picturesque landscapes, hilltop villages, and culture, but also to walk, picnic, and photograph famous lavender and sunflower fields of Provence. Walk trails lined with lavender fields brought to life with brilliant hues of purple, as well as stroll through countryside sprinkled with sunflowers and other wildflowers, led by our professional UNESCO award winning guides. Singing cicadas typical of summer in southern France serenade us, and at the end of our lavender walking trail (lavender excursion for non-walkers), guests are greeted with a sumptuous, gourmet French picnic. Savor Provence foodie specialties and regional wines at leisure, as rolling fields of lavender and hilltop villages serve as our backdrop. Afterwards, no lavender adventure is complete without a private tour of our favorite local family essential oils distillery.
Like a painter’s palette, the array of summer colors of Provence transforms the valleys and hillside landscapes of southern France’s perched villages, walking trails, and our favorite picnic hide-away into unparalleled beauty for you to inhale every moment of summer’s splendor.
