Day-by-Day Itinerary Outline for Our Chamapgne Tour
DAY 1: Group Meets, Hotel Check-in, Afternoon: Champagne House Tours & Tasting at BOTH Taittinger and Mumm, Evening: Champagne House Tour & Tasting at Pommery, Private Welcome Dinner hosted by Pommery - D
Arrival in Reims. Meet and greet by your tour guide at the scheduled group pick-up time at NOON at Reims Rail Station from where you will transfer to your hotel as a group.
Mumm: Following check-in at the hotel, we embark on a series of three Champagne House Tours and Tasting this afternoon and into the early evening. Our first Champagne House Tour and Tasting of the trip is at the prestigious House of Mumm.
Taittinger: Our second Champagne House Tour and Tasting of the afternoon takes us to the House of Taittinger. Guests need to be aware that visiting Champagne producer cellars requires walking down anywhere from 140-165 steps into the cellars beneath the city.
Pommery: Our third and final visit of the day takes us to the Champagne House of Pommery for a Tour & Tasting. Here we are welcomed for a private tour of the cellars followed by a private cocktail hour. One of our guests is invited to pop the cork using the traditional sabre.
Dinner: Welcome Dinner hosted privately by Pommery Champagne House.
DAY 2: Day in Epernay: Morning: Champagne House Tour & Tasting at Moet & Chandon, Gourmet Bistro Lunch, Afternoon: Champagne House Tour & Tasting at De Castellane - B, L
Buffet Breakfast.
Moet & Chandon: This morning we head to the Champagne producing village of Epernay for a Tour and Tasting at the famous House of Moet & Chandon. After our visit, enjoy leisure time to explore Epernay independently before lunch. Gourmet Bistro Lunch in Epernay.
De Castellane: Afternoon: Champagne House Tour and Tasting at the House of De Castellane. Afterwards (weather and time permitting), we'll make our way into the vineyards to witness the harvest.
Late Afternoon: Return to Reims. Leisure time to relax or explore the historic walking streets of the city prior to dinner.
Dinner : Independently at one of the many cafes or restaurants.
DAY 3: Champagne House Tour & Tasting followed by Lunch Together at Veuve-Clicquot, Afternoon: Pastry and Chocolate Class with our Celebrity Pastry Chef, Leisure Time, Dinner: Michelin-star Gourmet Dinner - B, L, D
Buffet Breakfast.
Veuve-Clicquot: This morning we're invited for a Champagne House Tour & Tasting at the Veuve-Clicquot cellars. Our visit is completed with a private Champagne theme lunch together at Veuve-Clicquot.
Afternoon: Pastry and Chocolate Class with our celebrity Chocolate-Maker.
Mid-late Afternoon: Leisure Time following our pastry and chocolate lesson to explore independent interests in Reims. Visit the Cathedral where the Kings of France were crowned, the historic districts of Reims and other historical monuments, such as the Basilica St. Remi.
Dinner: Gourmet Michelin-star Dinner Together.
DAY 4: Tour Conclusion, Group Drop-off at REIMS Rail Station - B
Buffet Breakfast.
Trip concludes today with 9 AM arrival to the Reims Rail Station. Earlier and later departures can be arranged. Please contact us for details.
Activity Information: This tour involves a considerable amount of walking and climbng of steps during our visits at the Champagne Houses, cellars and in between visits. This tour also requires travelers be able to stand for extended periods of times during the Champagne house tours, as seating is not available in the underground galleries.
